Cowboys rally, move to 11-1

Where They Stand: The Dallas Cowboys have won ten-straight games, the longest winning streak of the season and the longest in franchise history. They rank second in points allowed, third in yards allowed, third in turnovers generated.

Dez Bryant, whose 56-yard catch in the first half set up Ezekiel Elliott's touchdown, came up with the go-ahead play in the fourth as he took an 8-yard scoring pass after a fumbled punt by Minnesota's Adam Thielen.

One year later, former Vikings punter Chris Kluwe posted a scathing essay on accusing Priefer of making anti-gay comments toward Kluwe while he was still on the team as a way of goading him for his gay rights advocacy. It's a classic battle of offense vs. defense in frigid Minneapolis.

The defense without Zimmer was like the defense with it. "Because if I wasn't, he can get the best of you". Bryant also checked in as Dak Prescott's top target overall on a night when the Cowboys' rookie signal caller threw the ball only 18 times.

Minnesota has lost six of seven after a 5-0 start. After getting some medical attention during halftime, Bradford was able to remain in the game. Bradford has shown to be a very capable passer when given time. Too often drives ended with a pass behind the first down marker, which isn't all on Bradford, but it is quickly becoming his trademark as a Viking. Despite his inexperience, he's had no drop off on the road (1,350 yards, 10 touchdown passes, and rating of 119.5). But ultimately it wasn't enough to get another desperately needed win for the Vikings.

It would be lovely to see some down the field shots throughout the game.

Whether the situation was the sudden death of his wife, Vikki, when he was the defensive coordinator for Cincinnati in 2009, the kidney stones he had removed in 2014 or the death of his father, Bill, during the 2015 preseason, Zimmer had never missed a game until now. In a league in which games are decided by seemingly random events as much as they are by clear superiority, you need both attributes to be great. "That's an opportunity for us to score and tie the ballgame, but it doesn't get called". But the challenge was correct. Bradford was down in pain for a bit before walking slowly off the field. This was a remarkable occurrence, a Vikings quarterback with time.

If you recall, the Vikings traded the Eagles their first-round draft pick in the upcoming NFL Draft for Sam Bradford. And that starts tonight by pulling for the (get ready) NFC-best Dallas Cowboys.

Minnesota struck first as Forbath connected on a 48-yard field goal. "But at the end of the day, we have to find a way to get it done and we just didn't". Patterson was out for the last one and had to recover his own fumble. "I understand it's a hard game to ref". He had punts of 16, 25, 38 and 33 yards, each of which put pressure on the Vikings defense.

Special teams coordinator Mike Priefer coached Minnesota during his absence. We know that wasn't the case, and we fully expect the 2016 Locke to return next week.

The Vikings are set to play the Cowboys tonight and the odds seem stacked against them. They can turn a mess of a team like Minnesota into a more formidable one, and more formidable team like Dallas into a mess. The seventh-year pro now has at least 72 yards receiving in the last four games, and has four touchdowns over that span as well. Thielen was filling in for the injured Marcus Sherels and is usually sure-handed, but he will be feeling this one for awhile.

The Vikings played a video clip of Zimmer encouraging the team during training camp with a get-well-soon message on the scoreboard prior to kickoff.

In their previous 10 games the Cowboys made things look rather easy offensively. Right tackle Jeremiah Sirles jumped offsides to push back a two-point conversion attempt that ultimately failed.
