Louis Cardinals Showing Interest In Justin Turner

There have been recent interest with the San Francisco Giants and of course, the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Turner is one free-agent that is on the hot market in the off-season, along with Kenley Jansen and Aroldis Chapman. Just from the numbers themselves, Turner would be a better choice than Peralta. The Cardinals would probably have to trade Jhonny Peralta to make room for him, but there's no doubt he'd be an upgrade.

The Cardinals' current roster construction would not seem to indicate a need for Turner, though a trade of Peralta would open an infield spot alongside Matt Carpenter (first base), Kolten Wong (second base) and Aledmys Diaz (shortstop).

Though he was not on the Cardinals' radar, free agent Yoenis Cespedes resigned with the New York Mets, subtracting yet another outfielder from the offseason market that's not exactly crawling with attractive options for seeking teams.

With Turner's glove, the Cardinals would have a star-studded third baseman.
