Importantly, all models and trim levels will include all the Honda Sensing safety technologies as standard equipment.

"The biggest challenge for the new Accord is that it's a mid-size car", said Michelle Krebs, executive analyst for Autotrader. There is also a 7.0-inch display in front of the driver.

These changes have practical benefits inside.

Vehicle theft is a severe economic hardship for its victims-especially if a vehicle is uninsured. Cargo capacity increases by 0.9 cu ft to 16.7 cu ft.

Passenger hip, shoulder and headroom is improved by moving seats slightly inward, the automaker says. Full-LED headlights are also on the menu. The company did not supply projected fuel economy for any of the models, but promised the new hybrid version will be more fuel efficient than the current one. Higher R&D expenses and currency translation costs are also concerns for the company. "There have been no reported injuries related to these incidents". The driver's seat has 12-way adjustment, and the front seats can be heated and cooled. "The new version likely will help Honda maintain share, but in a shrinking segment".

The 1.5-liter Accord will be available in six trims: LX, Sport, EX, EX-L, EX-L Navi, and Touring. And with over-the-air system updates, all Accord customers can upgrade to the latest software via Wi-Fi.

Other factories are located in Alabama, Indiana and the Carolinas.

Of particular note is the adaptive damper system standard on every 2018 Honda Accord, which constantly responds to changing road conditions.

As with most recent sedan redesigns, the Accord's wheelbase and overall width grows while height is lowered. It seems, though, that Honda is meeting the wants and needs of those of us who still appreciate the inherently better driving dynamics of a sedan versus a crossover.

The 143kW/260Nm engine coming with a choice of CVT auto or six-speed manual.
