Sources: Man City have £50m Kyle Walker bid accepted by Tottenham

City has been heavily linked with speedy Monaco left back Benjamin Mendy.

According to The Daily Mail, City have had to pay Spurs a transfer fee of £54 million in order to secure the services of the England international defender. Neither club disclosed Walker's fee.

The Citizens have been desperate to boost their full-back options this summer and recently lost out on Dani Alves, who has joined Paris Saint-Germain.

He is now one of the best right-backs in the Premier League and justifiably an England regular.

Kyle Walker moved from London to Manchester for a record-fee for a full-back after eight seasons with Tottenham.

Pereira returned to FC Porto this summer after a two-year loan spell with OGC Nice in Ligue Un. "I've learnt a lot there - especially under the current manager, he's been fantastic with me. So, it's kind of fate that it's here now and available to take it straight away". Well, actually, it was me who did most of the talking.

And a deal for Walker was quickly concluded following confirmation of Alves' PSG switch. I'm all about assists, I'm not really greedy. The main thing that we've both said is just winning trophies.

The 27-year-old is expected to have a medical and complete the transfer on Friday after the clubs agreed a deal on Wednesday worth £50m plus add-ons.

Walker reportedly fell out with Tottenham head coach Mauricio Pochettino over the club's rotation policy, which saw Kieran Trippier selected for high-profile games including the FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea and Premier League matches against local rivals Arsenal and Manchester United.
