The main games had shinies for every single creature, so there's a chance every one in Pokémon Go will offer them at some point, but it makes sense Niantic would want to drip feed them for special occasions and make them more of an event.

Pokemon Go is a smartphone-based game, which requires players to 'catch' virtual creatures, one of the best-known of which is the mouse-like Pikachu, by going to real-world locations where the game places them.

Invites to see the event live are extremely rare and no details have been so far been teased.

Shiny Pikachu can also evolve into a Shiny Raichu, which has darker brown fur than a normal Raichu. Unown \/span \/span \/span \/span \/span \/span \/span \/span \/span \/span \/span \/span \/span \/span \/span \/span spelling out \"Yokohama\" are also appearing at the event and Pokemon Go \/em is hosting a mysterious Pokemon Go Stadium event next Monday.

As reported by ComicBook, the studio has added another version of Pikachu in "Pokemon GO". Mr. Mime (a regional-exclusive Pokemon usually seen in Europe) is spawning at the festival, and the game has set up two parks with rare spawns. The game's developers say that it has been downloaded 650 million times worldwide since its release. Assets for a Shiny Pichu were also found in Pokemon Go \/em \u0027s code, but have not been seen yet.
