San Juan Mayor Wears "Nasty" Shirt On Air in Response Trump

San Juan Mayor Wears

It wasn't clear whether he was talking about the possibility of some kind of government bailout or a restructuring of the island's debt that would impose losses on investors.

Cruz criticized the Trump administration's hurricane response to the island.

Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel on Tuesday mocked President Trump for throwing rolls of paper towels at a crowd of Puerto Ricans while visiting the devastated island in the wake of Hurricane Maria. While half the island's grocery stores are open, supplies are scarce at many, The Associated Press reported.

"Throwing paper towels to the people - how's that?"

He said lots of generators have been brought to the island and most hospitals are at least partially open.

"La hija del mar y el sol", ("the daughter of the sea and the sun").
