Report: Top 22-year-old attacker is open signing for Man United

United are widely expected to resume their chase of the prolific Rojiblancos star in the new year, but, as per the aforementioned report from Le10Sport, the Red Devils look to have fallen down the pecking order in the race for Griezmann.

Antoine Griezmann joined Basque club Real Sociedad's youth system at the age of 14 in 2005, with the Frenchman impressing in a game against Paris St-Germain's youth team.

He has done little to quieten those rumours in recent times and will have stoked speculation further by making remarks to TF1's 'Telefoot' program that suggest that he would be delighted to join up with the Ligue 1 leaders. Thus, Atletico saw it fit to pay the Basque side a fee around Griezmann's release clause of €30 million to bring him to Madrid in 2014.

City have also made a "substantial offer" for PSG midfielder Claudio Gomes, with L'Equipe claiming that the player has yet to respond.

Speaking to Telefoot, the 26-year-old said: "Am I dreaming of a front line with Mbappe, Neymar and Griezmann?"

West Ham are putting into place plans to make David Moyes' first signing since replacing Slaven Bilic as manager at the London Stadium. That may be an attraction of joining PSG in the coming years.

The 25-year-old penned new terms on a five-year deal just last summer.

The club has been told to raise €75m in sales by June 30 or face a heavy punishment for Financial Fair Play. Diego Costa's arrival has freed Griezmann to leave, but the forward would like to see out the season.
