Nokia 3 will jump straight to Android 8.0 Oreo

Nokia 3 will jump straight to Android 8.0 Oreo

On the camera front, the Nokia 9 and Nokia 8 (2018) are expected to feature a dual camera setup and IP67 certification, which will protect the phones from both water and dust protection.

It has been confirmed, by the Chief Product Officer of HMD Global, that the Nokia 3 will skip Nougat and will directly jump on board the Oreo train.

The Nokia 9, going by previous leaks, will feature a 5.5-inch display with Quad HD resolution. However, MyDrivers notes that the handset will come for custom software aimed at the Chinese market, so it remains unclear whether the handset will see a UK release. Here, the report claims, HMD Global will show off its flagship Nokia 9 smartphone for the first time. Most times you cant even get the same ROM to run on different regional versions of the same phone. If this report is to materialize, the company might put out the dates very soon. The device is expected to come with top of the line components.

Earlier this year in September, a Geekbench listing revealed the specifications of the Nokia 9. Both the smartphones will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset under the hood, which is definitely a little disappointing.

Chances are that the Nokia 9 will be launched in two variants, one with 6GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage while the other version of the phone may have 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Yes, that's sad, but don't worry, because the phone will get the Android Oreo update. The camera will have 4K shooting capability and at least of the modules will feature a 12Megapixel unit. It seems that Treble requires a special partitioning of the internal storage that cant be done over the air.
