Run, Don't Stroll to Substitute Your iPhone Battery

Apple is facing another lawsuit in relation to its move to slow down older iPhones because of aging batteries.

The incident prompted the evacuation of around 50 customers and staff from the shop. Apple violated that. This is one case where trial lawyers looking for class-action clients - or perhaps various attorneys general who have consumer protection in their portfolios - should take a big bite out of a bad Apple. (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhone users are taking their gripe with the company's recently-disclosed slowdown practices to the courtroom. Apple has promised a software update soon that gives us more visibility into battery health. This has probably caused an influx of customers, flooding Apple Stores to have their batteries replaced. For as long as they do that, the stock will remain a good investment. As of now, there is no information on who is actually responsible, whether the iPhone owner had unknowingly damaged it, or it got harmed during the battery removal procedure by the Apple Genius.

Apple's battery replacement program isn't new.

Sometimes it's glaringly obvious, like if you iPhone runs out of juice before midday or perhaps doesn't charge to 100%. But a battery manufacturer's claims to not consider it as price cut turned to be a bummer.

(If you paid for AppleCare+ coverage, it might even be free.) Remember, this isn't just about improving battery life; some tests have found replacing the battery can result in speed improvements of over 100 percent.

"Yet Apple has violated these duties by arrogating to itself the right to throttle the performance of millions of iPhones under at least three common conditions, such that its behavior will likely affect millions of consumers", it added. A service called iCracked will send a repair person to you to replace a battery for between $20 (roughly Rs. 1260) and $50 (roughly Rs. 3100).

Some users also believe that Apple intentionally degrades the performance of older iPhones, so that users were left with no option else to buy new ones.
