LG announced LG G7 ThinQ, With a Display Notch and official colors

According to a recent rumor, it has been suggested that LG's next flagship smartphone will be known as the LG G7 and that it is also expected to bear the ThinQ branding. Mind, it's not the first ThinQ smartphone.

It will also boast sophisticated Vision AI having three new intelligent camera features: AI CAM, QLens and Bright Mode that automates and enhances the smartphone's image-capturing experience.

LG will once again be sticking to the tall 18:9 display format that it debuted on last year's LG G6, while the overall look of the device is quite similar to LG V30 from the back side. However, "Raspberry Rose" and "Moroccan Blue" options will also be available in both matte and glossy finishes. The model will have a dual rear camera setup and the position of cameras will be vertically aligned in place of horizontal.

Shown below is a leaked press render of the LG G7 ThinQ. The default color of the smartphone is said to be Aurora Black.

Other rumoured specs include a Snapdragon 845 processor, 6GB of RAM, 64GB of storage and a camera with an f/1.5 aperture lens.

As well as baked-in AI smarts, the LG G7 ThinkQ will be the latest Android phone to sport an iPhone X-style notch, following in the footsteps of Huawei's P20 and the upcoming OnePlus 6. As per the report, the G7 will come with an additional fourth button apart from volume up/down and power buttons. It is speculated it could be a dedicated button for AI assistant. It's likely that, as Huawei has with the P20 and P20 Pro, LG will provide a way of hiding the notch via a setting for those of us with reservations about this trendy new feature. And secondly, it has announced that this smartphone will be launched on May 2nd at an event in NY, which will be followed by another event on May 3rd in Seoul (it's the capital of South Korea, for those unaware).
