Alves out for three weeks — PSG

Paris Saint Germain right back Dani Alves has joined the list of stars that will be missing in this year's FIFA World Cup in Russia this summer according to Daily Mail.

Alves has been a major figure in the Brazil National Team setup and a regular name on Tite's first XI as they look to hunt down their sixth world title. The Brazilian Football Confederation said in a statement on Friday he needs surgery, and there won't be enough time for him to recover for the World Cup.

The 35-year-old was injured in PSG's 2-0 Coupe de France final win over Les Herbiers and the decision was taken to almost immediately go under the knife.
